          We were a little excited today for our long weekend!  We started off talking about what we might do this weekend.  Then we went to the gym and played with Frisbees.  At circle time we looked at plants and we talked about all the things that plants need to live.  We learned that plants need good soil, water, light and warmth.  We also talked about the different parts of plants and what their jobs are.  At circle math we reviewed our 10 frames and dot arrangements and then we played some math games. Then we had choice time and many of us were into making some beautiful crafts!

          After lunch we listened to the story Jack and the Beanstalk and then we planted our own bean seeds in plastic see through cups so that we can watch the roots grow.  We also had another short choice time and Mrs. Hann brought in some big boxes for us to use in our play.  We also made a get well card for Isaac as he broke his arm last day at recess and was not at school. After recess we had snack and sharing and then we went to the computer room and were lucky enough to work on some games with the Grade 1's. 

          We had a fantastic day!  I hope everyone has a super long weekend and travel safely if you are going away!

          Just a reminder about the book fair next day and the permission slip for our field trip as well that needs to be returned.
